On behalf of the Cumberland Panthers 2019 Executive Group, I want to welcome everyone to the 2019 Panthers football season!

Registration is officially underway for all of our programs, the link for which can found above. Below is a useful table to note the programs we are offering in 2019:

Program Type Birth Year Head Coach Time Frame Fee
Bantam Tackle 2004-2005 Sean Baptiste Jul - Nov $520 + OFA fee
Peewee Tackle 2006-2007 Mike Schmidt Jul - Nov $520 + OFA fee
Mosquito Tackle 2008-2009 Erik Anderson Jun-Nov $520 + OFA fee
Tyke Tackle 2010-2011 Steve Pranschke, Jay Grossett Jun-Nov $520 + OFA fee
Jr Panthers Non-Contact 2012-2014 Mike Rouleau Jul-Oct $250 + OFA fee
Girls' Touch Non-Contact 1997-2010 Kirk Culkin Feb-Jul $175 + OFA fee
Co-Ed Flag Non-Contact 2007-2011 Eric Parent Apr-Jul $99 + OFA fee
Cheerleaders Recreational 2006-2014 Jennifer Ouellet Jun-Nov $200 + OFA fee

What's the OFA fee, you ask? The Ontario Football Alliance (OFA) is the Provincial Sporting Organization (PSO) that governs the sport of football in Ontario. This fee, which is different depending on if your program is tackle or non-contact, goes toward player insurance, governance, policy and program development. This fee is collected by the OFA and is not handled by the Panthers. More information can be found here.

Finally, a note about territories. In NCAFA, all tackle programs are sorted into one of 15 territories in Eastern Ontario. For Tyke, Mosquito, Peewee and Bantam players, you must live east of Tenth Line or east of Mer Blue to be eligible for our club. Generally, players outside of the City of Ottawa are deemed "Open" and also eligible for the Panthers.

All of our non-contact programs (Touch, Flag, Cheer, Jr Panthers) are not restricted by territories and open for all! Please feel free to reach out to Sarah for any questions about your eligibility. If you aren't eligible for the Panthers, we will help you find your correct Club.
