NCAFA Coaching Applications
The Cumberland Panthers are now accepting head coaching applications for the 2017 NCAFA seasons. The Mites (6-7), Tyke (8-9), Mosquito (10-11), Peewee (12-13) & Bantam (14-15) head coach positions are all open for applications.
Interested candidates should have a strong knowledge of the game of football, have some playing and/or coaching experience (head coaching experience not mandatory), and be highly motivated and extremely well organized. Applicants should be prepared to include members of their coaching staff in their application and be prepared to present a recruiting plan and player development plan for the season.
Tyke through Bantam programs will be expected to run a spring mini-camp in May/June prior to opening main camp in July/August, this is dependent on registration numbers and to aid with NCAFA mandatory date specific roster limits. Football Canada has mandated that starting in 2017 the first week of camp must have a focus on safe contact principles. The Panthers will adopt this and add that the first week must contain no contact and focus on individual skill development and athletic development.
Interested candidates should email their intention to apply to Mike Rouleau (firstname.lastname@example.org) before January 13, 2017. A full application review and potential interview process will occur after the deadline.
